THE DETAILS The partnership with Yonsei University’s Institute for Population and Talent will allocate KRW500 million to research defining “inner beauty” and developing a Korean Inner Beauty Index (IBI) to objectively measure it, with the findings used to assess and improve Amorepacific’s Meet Your Beauty youth programme; the remaining KRW500 million will fund research into structural social changes driven by AI and demographic shifts.
THE WHY? The initiative reflects growing concern about the impact of social media and digital culture on young people’s perceptions of beauty, while giving Amorepacific a research-based framework for measuring the effectiveness of its youth programmes and broadening the concept of beauty beyond physical appearance.
