Veteran perfumer Marc vom Ende has joined Bell Flavors & Fragrances in Leipzig as master perfumer and fragrance consultant, bringing decades of experience spanning fine fragrance, cosmetics, hair, body and home care.

"Leipzig and Miltitz have set new standards in the history of our industry," vom Ende said. "Tapping into this potential and developing it further using modern tools is one of the most exciting tasks I can imagine."

His remit will extend beyond creation: vom Ende will help Bell systematically organize its raw material knowledge, using data-driven tools to help perfumers identify ingredients and functional properties, including odor masking and fragrance blooming, more precisely.

The company also plans to explore AI as a complementary tool for formulation and decision-making.

"Marc vom Ende is a perfumer who combines experience, scientific rigor and expertise in training," said Maik Brußmann, commercial general manager fragrances. "This is a key element in further strengthening our position as a creative and development partner."

The appointment has added resonance at Bell’s historic Miltitz site, formerly home to Schimmel & Co., a pioneer in scientifically based perfumery research.
