Set to be released Sept. 12 is the Crocs Echo 2 Loafer in collaboration with European retailer Solebox. The new model uses the standard Echo 2 clog as its base, but wraps the front portion of the shoe in a smooth black leather which includes a Solebox-branded saddle and tassels for a sophisticated finish on an otherwise casual piece of footwear.

The leather components are also seen on the shoe’s signature “sport mode” strap, but despite all of its added bells and whistles, underneath the leather facade is a standard Crocs Echo 2 clog constructed with the company’s proprietary Croslite foam for long-lasting comfort.
To celebrate the release, Solebox will turn its Berlin door into a barbershop in partnership with the Black Excellence Boutique, offering free haircuts to customers during the collaboration’s launch.

While Crocs currently has some slip-on offerings in its lineup and produces the loafer-inspired women’s Loaferette Clog, this marks the company’s first foray into a full-on loafer hybrid shoe. And while the sneaker loafer hybrid craze has cooled off a bit since emerging in 2024, the upcoming Crocs release feels like an exception to the trend given that it’s not based on an athletic sneaker.
Although the dressy loafer is new territory for the Broomfield, Colorado-based company, Crocs isn’t averse to experimentation. The brand’s EXP line has been home to its most innovative new designs including the moccasin-like Gallery Shoe from 2025. And more recently, it updated an archival model to introduce the Tembo II RO, a sneaker-like clog which comes with a removable Polartec fleece liner for cold weather.
The Solebox x Crocs Echo 2 Loafer will be released Sept. 12. Retail pricing has not yet been confirmed.
