Fragrance is stepping out from the broader personal care ingredient mix with the launch of the Fragrance Zone at in-cosmetics Asia 2026, reflecting the growing role of scent in product differentiation, mood and self-expression across APAC. The dedicated zone will bring together fragrance ingredients, technologies and sensory concepts as the region’s fragrance ingredient market heads toward a projected $6.9 billion by 2030, with cosmetics and toiletries representing its largest segment.

The November 3–5, 2026 program at Bangkok’s BITEC is designed to move fragrance discovery beyond the fine-fragrance category, showcasing opportunities across personal care, home care and pet care—from sensorial beauty products and scented candles to diffusers and odor-masking pet grooming products. The emphasis is firmly on application, giving manufacturers a chance to explore the ingredients and technologies that can build more distinctive sensory experiences.

A new Fragrance Awards program will add a competitive element, with international fragrance experts judging innovations showcased in the Scent Bar and attendees voting for their favorites. Winners will be announced during the in-cosmetics Asia Awards on November 3. The zone is also being guided by perfumer Yves André Dombrowsky, whose approach incorporates scent, archetypes and cognitive interaction to create what he describes as “aura perfumery” around products.

With 700+ exhibitors expected across the wider show, the Fragrance Zone signals how scent is increasingly being treated not simply as a finishing touch, but as a strategic tool for creating differentiated, multisensory consumer experiences across categories.
