Mane Group, a French flavour and fragrance manufacturer, has acquired Cvista, a supplier of citrus oil and natural essences headquartered in Florida, US.

The acquisition aims to strengthen Mane Group's position in the citrus market by combining the two companies’ capabilities to accelerate citrus and beverage development.

Mane Group will also establish a global Citrus and Beverage Center of Excellence in the US – a dedicated industrial campus designed to advance research.

The financial terms of the sale have not been disclosed.

“This acquisition is a strategic catalyst for Mane’s growth in citrus, particularly in the beverage sector,” said Samantha Mane, President of Mane Group.

“Cvista is a recognised leader with a proven ability to transform natural raw materials into high-value ingredients.”

Founded in 2010 by entrepreneur Hadi Lashkajani, Cvista is known for its advanced expertise in citrus oil processing and for producing high-value natural ingredients.

Mane Group stated it will benefit from Cvista’s “deep technological know-how”, operating across the entire citrus value chain, from sourcing raw materials to the precise fractionation of flavour compounds.

The company also brings advanced skills in purifying trace compounds, enabling the isolation and valorisation of molecules present in very small quantities.

Mane Group’s statement continued: “We are delighted to welcome their team to Mane, uniting our capabilities and shared commitment to sensory excellence.

“This acquisition will strengthen our leadership in citrus solutions and accelerate the development of exceptional ingredients, backed by cutting-edge science, for our customers.”

It follows Mane Group acquiring Belgian biotech company Chemosensoryx Biosciences to accelerate its “sensory innovation” in January 2026.

The deal is said to have deepened Mane Group’s scientific understanding of how smells, tastes and sensations, such as freshness and spiciness, are perceived.
