CurrentBody is once again setting out to take the at-home LED mask to new technological heights with the introduction of its LED Light Therapy Mask Series 3.

Featuring 750 individual LED bulbs, each able to emit six different wavelengths, the mask lands alongside a new app to offer fully customisable treatments through its newly developed MyDose system, as well as the LED Light Therapy Neck & Décolletage Mask: Series 3.

The included wavelengths are: blue (415nm) to target blemishes and irritation; green (532nm) to brighten and even tone; yellow (590nm) for redness; red (633nm) for fine lines and wrinkles; near-infrared (830nm) for firmness and to energise skin; and deep near-infrared (1072nm) to target deeper signs on ageing.

Building on CurrentBody’s Series 1 and Series 2 LED masks, Laurence Newman, CEO of CurrentBody owner The Beauty Tech Group, told Cosmetics Business: “The masks are best understood the way you would understand an iPhone.

“One continuous line of development, where each generation solves the constraint the last one could not”.

CurrentBody first entered the LED game in 2019 with the arrival of Series 1, which Newman believes sits at the current standard of the wider LED mask offering.

“Our first job was to build a mask based on the clinical science that existed – at the time we had not started our own trials,” he said.

“With more than 7,000 photobiomodulation studies behind LED light therapy in existence we tried to match the clinical specifications that existed, and that is where most reputable LED products still stand today.”

Next came the Series 2, which launched in 2024, to solve two main issues: guaranteeing clinical specification claims and ensuring light reaches the skin.
